With 100 days to go before the biggest running event in the Grand Ouest, whose 38ᵉ edition will take place from June 12 to 15, 2025, the organization and the Millénaire de Caen are teaming up for a community sports challenge, offering 1,000 km of bibs to be won on the various D-Day Landings Marathon events.
Is your favourite D-Day Landings Marathon 2025 event sold out? Good news! The organization has kept the last bibs of certain events warm for a few months for a community running challenge as part of the Millénaire de Caen.
For three weeks, running enthusiasts are invited to run at least 1,000 meters in a place close to their heart in the greater Caen area, and to share their activity on Strava, the application used to record, analyze and share sporting performances. The aim? Contribute to highlighting the diversity and richness of the region's heritage, while having the chance to win a bib for one of the D-Day Landings Marathon events, whose DNA is based on promoting the region's historical treasures.
This approach illustrates the shared determination of the D-Day Landings Marathon and the GIP Millénaire de Caen 2025 to promote the Caen area as a land of sport and culture. Between city and nature, history and modernity, this initiative allows participants to rediscover their territory from another angle, while celebrating 1,000 years of history in motion.
