Created in 1988 as a sporting tribute to the events of the D-Day, D-Day Landings Marathon is preparing for another historic edition as part of the festivities for the Caen's millennium celebrations. With over 30,000 participants each year, the event's race courses are a perfect illustration of this tribute to history through sport, making D-Day Landings Marathon a formidable showcase for Normandy.
An event to discover the heritage of Caen, the 10km - Crédit Agricole Normandie allows as many people as possible to take part, bringing together beginners and experienced runners on the same event. The personal challenge rhymes with discovering the city's must-see sites in a festive atmosphere. An FFA-approved race, the event will welcome 5,000 participants on Sunday June 15, starting from Avenue Albert Sorel.
