first event to sell out

Created in 1988 as a sporting tribute to the events of the D-Day, D-Day Landings Marathon is preparing for another historic edition as part of the festivities for the Caen's millennium celebrations. With over 30,000 participants each year, the event's race courses are a perfect illustration of this tribute to history through sport, making D-Day Landings Marathon a formidable showcase for Normandy.

A national FFA event, the Pegasus Half Marathon is one of Normandy's flagship events and one of France's leading running events. The event has become mythical thanks to the famous bridge from which it starts, the first to be liberated by the British soldiers of the 6th Airborne.
