the landing beaches

On June 6, 1944, men from all over the world landed in Normandy to help reconquer and liberate Europe from Nazism. The Liberation began on Normandy's beaches, code-named Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword. It was here, over 80 years ago, that the face of today's world took shape. Even today, D-Day is known as the greatest amphibious and airborne operation of all time.

With its route taking in the high points of the D-Day landings, D-Day Landings Marathon will forever bear witness to this history. Each year, the event remembers and pays tribute to those who worked for peace and freedom. Gathered under 64 different nationalities, the heroes for a day live a unique experience in homage to the heroes of history.
