The events (except for Foulées de la Liberté) are open to both licensed and non-licensed participants and are subject to age limits. Participation age is based on the current calendar year and not on the date of the event.
- The D-Day Landings Marathon : from 20 years old (born in 2003 and before);
- The Relay Marathon : from 16 years old (born in 2007 and before);
- The Pegasus Half Marathon: from 18 years old (born in 2005 and before) ;
- The 10K - Crédit Agricole Normandie : from 16 years old (born in 2007 and before);
- The Rollers de la Liberté : from 7 years old (born in 2016 and before);
- La Rochambelle : from 7 years old for walking and 16 years old for running (born in 2016 and before for walkers and born in 2007 and before for runners).
Registrations can only be made online via our dedicated platform by clicking here. You just have to create an account or to connect to it if you have already participated.
Each participant must register via an individual account. However :
- If someone already has an account, you can register them from your dashboard by clicking on "register someone who has an account".
- If a person does not have an email address, click on "create a sub-account" from your dashboard and proceed to register the person concerned. If the sub-account already exists, click on "register" on the relevant line.
Remember to check your registration summary before proceeding to the global payment of the completed registrations.
Registration is only possible online. Each participant pays the registration fee by credit card and benefits from a secure payment from our dedicated platform by clicking here.
The opening rate (Marathon: 50€ - Pegasus: 24€ - 10 km: 14€) will be applied during the entire registration period for students, job seekers and people receiving RSA or ASS on presentation of a proof and this only for the D-Day Landings Marathon, the Pegasus Half Marathon and the 10 km - Crédit Agricole Normandie
To benefit from it, you just have to register by giving the advantage code dedicated to the stage of choice of the tests: ETUDIANT2023 (students) and COURIR2023 (jobseekers, people receiving RSA or ASS).
The scales for requesting a preferential bib are as follows:
- D-Day Landings Marathon: less than 3h30 for a woman and less than 3h00 for a man.
- Pegasus Half Marathon: less than 1h40 for a woman and less than 1h25 for a man.
- 10K Crédit Agricole Normandie: less than 45min for a woman and less than 38min for a man.
A participant will be authorized to receive a preferential bib only after validation by the organizer of his request made by mail or by email to info@marathondelaliberte.fr before May 3, 2023 and accompanied by a recent proof of result.
The scales to be part of the elite runners are as follows:
- D-Day Landings Marathon: N3 level at international level (women and men)
- Pegasus Half Marathon: N3 level at international level (women and men)
- 10K - Crédit Agricole Normandie: N3 level at international level (women and men)
An athlete will only be authorized to join the elite team after validation by the organization of his request made by mail or by email to elite@marathondelaliberte.fr before May 3, 2023 and accompanied by proof of recent results.

After this date, any changes must be submitted directly to our Village Expo at the SOS area bibs.
When registering, the Event Pass is offered as an option to non-FFA registered participants on the D-Day Landings Marathon, the Pegasus Half Marathon or the 10K - Crédit Agricole Normandie, at a cost of 8.00€. It allows to benefit from a cancellation insurance and a personalized training plan realized by the running coaches of the French Athletics Federation.
Note: For the cancellation insurance, students, job seekers and people receiving RMI or solidarity allowances, registered on the D-Day Landings Marathon, the Pegasus Half Marathon or the 10K - Crédit Agricole Normandie, can be reimbursed the amount of their registration (excluding options) without having subscribed to the Event Pass, upon presentation of a recent proof of situation and a valid proof of non-participation.
Refunds will be made only after the event.
Apart from these two cases, no refund will be made.

Team participation is open to groups of friends, communities, associations, companies, clubs and works councils.
There are several prerequisites for creating a team:
1 - to have at least 10 participants in their team;
2 - respect the participation rules in teams ;
3 - identify a team leader who will be the link between the organiser and the team members;
4 - Finalize the team before May 3, 2023.
5 - proceed to the payment of the entries before the delivery of the bibs.
As a first step, please consult the team participation rules.
For the creation of a new team, the designated team leader can contact the organization committee at 09 72 44 91 49 or pre-enter the information of his team online by clicking here. He will then be contacted by the organizing committee.
Team renewals can be made by email by sending any changes to be made to equipe@marathondelaliberte.fr
Each participant must register from an individual account by entering the advantage code provided by their team leader. This code allows them to be automatically integrated into the team.
The steps :
- log in to your individual account by clicking here ;
- on your dashboard, click on "register for an event", then check the accuracy of the information entered;
- at the event selection stage, enter the advantage code "xxxx" given by your team manager in the blue "advantage/team code" box, then follow the steps until your registration is finalised. You will then receive an email confirming your registration.
If you chose to pay for all the team, payment will be made by cheque or bank transfer once the team has been finalised.
If you chose to pay individually, payment will be made directly by credit card when the participant registers.
ATTENTION - All payments must be received by us before the delivery or dispatch of the bibs.

You will be given a bib number shortly before the event. It will be visible as soon as it is assigned from your online account by clicking here. An email will be sent to you to inform you of this.
The sending of the bib at home is proposed at the rate of 8,00€ to the participants of the D-Day Landings Marathon, the Pegasus Half-Marathon, the 10 km - Crédit Agricole Normandie and at the rate of 10,00€ to the participants of the Rochambelle (with tee-shirt). This option is available until May 3, 2023 and for any shipment in Metropolitan France only. The bibs will be sent at the end of May to the address indicated on your online account, provided that the file is complete by May 3rd 2023.
If you are not yet registered, you will be offered to send the bib to your home address when you register.
If you are already registered, you can send us a check (made out to D-Day Landings Marathon) before May 3, 2023 so that we can take this option into account at the following postal address D-Day Landings Marathon 12 Rue de la Chapelle 14 000 CAEN. Please remember to include the following information with your request: last name, first name, date of birth and the event concerned.
If you are participating in a team, please contact your team leader directly to find out how your team will collect the bibs.
If you have subscribed to the post delivery and if your file is complete, you will receive your bib at the end of May at the address you gave when you registered.

For any bib collected by a third party, the person must present the identity document of the person for whom the pack is collected (digital version preferred). Otherwise, a copy of the family record book is accepted for minors.

In practice, if you do not have a vehicle, we advise you to stay in Caen, where the shuttles leave and the races arrive.
The Parc des Expositions de Caen (exhibition village, bibs, parking) and the Stade Hélitas (finish line) are within walking distance from the city centre.
Caen train station is 2.5 km from the exhibition centre. It is also within easy walking distance.
Shuttles
A free shuttle service is available to take you from the Exhibition Centre to the start of your event on Sunday morning. There is no shuttle service at the arrival of the events. This This service is only available for participants of the Marathon, Half-Marathon and 1st relay of the Relay Marathon.
Access to the Exhibition Centre and parking

You can then access the Exhibition Centre via the Zénith de Caen roundabout You must follow the signs and take the direction of Louvigny. Access is also possible via the Cavée viaduct.
The parking lots of the Exhibition Centre are entirely dedicated to the participants, visitors and spectators of the D-Day Landings Marathon from June 2nd to 4th (free car and bicycle parking).
The participants' and visitors' car parks at the Caen Exhibition Centre allow motorhomes to be parked even at night. However, no specific facilities exist.

Starting locks are set up to facilitate the start of the events.
On the day, position yourself in the airlock corresponding to your time. These are freely accessible at the start of the events.
- For participants in the D-Day Landings Marathon, the Pegasus Half Marathon, the 10 km - Crédit Agricole Normandie, the timing is done with the system with a disposable electronic timing system glued to the bib. This system provides each participant with his or her real race time, regardless of the wait at the start. However, the classification is based on the official time and not on the real time. The bibmust be fully legible during the event. The organisation declines all responsibility for the functioning of the electronic timing system.
- For the participants of the Relay Marathon, the timing is done with a disposable electronic timing system glued to the bibof the team which must be attached to the belt provided. This belt with the team's bibmust be passed on between each runner. The order of the runners indicated at registration is not important and does not necessarily correspond to the order of the relays. The timing mats will be located at the entrance or exit of the relay zone. It is compulsory that each runner is belted onto the relevant timing belt in order for the team's performance to be recorded.
- For the participants of the Rollers de la Liberté, the timing is done with an electronic timing system attached to the bib. This system provides each participant with a ranking.
The results will be posted at the end of the morning on Sunday, June 4, 2023. Complaints can be made up to 30 minutes after posting.
The award ceremonies will take place near the finish line at the Helitas Stadium in Caen on Sunday, June 4. Only the first 3 men and women runners (scratch and regional) and the first mixed team, man and woman of Relay Marathon will be called on the podium for the award ceremony.
