Who can register?

The events (except for Foulées de la Liberté) are open to both licensed and non-licensed participants and are subject to age limits. Participation age is based on the current calendar year and not on the date of the event.

- The D-Day Landings Marathon ages 20 and over (born in 2006 or earlier);

- The Relay Marathon ages 16 and up (born in 2010 and earlier);

- Pegasus Half Marathon: 18 years and over (born in 2008 and earlier) ;

- The 10K Crédit Agricole Normandie: ages 16 and up (born in 2010 or earlier);

- La Rochambelle : from age 7 for walkers and 16 for runners (born in 2019 and earlier for walkers and 2010 and earlier for runners). 

How to register?

Registrations can only be made online via our dedicated platform by clicking here. You just have to create an account or to connect to it if you have already participated.

How to register multiple participants?

Each participant must register via an individual account. However you can register another person from your online account by clicking on "event registration" then "register a third party".

Please check your basket before proceeding to checkout.

I am a student or job seeker. How can I benefit from a preferential rate?

Students, job seekers, and individuals receiving RSA or ASS benefits are eligible for the introductory rate throughout the year (Marathon de la Liberé: €62 – Pegasus Half Marathon: €31 – 10K - Crédit Agricole Normandie: €18). To benefit from this offer, simply enter the relevant discount code when selecting your race: ETUDIANT2026 (students) and COURIR2026. Proof of eligibility will be requested during registration.

 

I would like to obtain a preferential bib (Sub-Elite bib). How can I do this?

Participants will only be authorized to receive a bib after the organizer has validated their request sent to info@marathondelaliberte.fr before 7th May 2026, accompanied by proof of recent results. Access times are as follows:

- Marathon de la Liberté : homme < 2h55 | femme < 3h30

- Semi-marathon Pegasus : homme < 1h13 | femme < 1h35

- 10km Crédit Agricole Normandie : homme < 34'15" | femme < 42'30"

How to be part of the elite runners?

The scales to be part of the elite runners are as follows:

- D-Day Landings Marathon: N3 level at international level (women and men)

- Pegasus Half Marathon: N3 level at international level (women and men)

- 10K - Crédit Agricole Normandie: N3 level at international level (women and men)

An athlete will only be authorized to join the elite squad after the organization has validated his request by mail or e-mail to elite@marathondelaliberte.fr before 7th May 2026, accompanied by proof of recent results.

How do I submit my proof of fitness

In France, the the French Athletics Federation (FFA) regulates the conditions for participation in running events. In accordance with the regulations for running events any participation in a competition is subject to the presentation of proof of fitness.

French Athletics Federation License

Only Athle Competition, Athle Entreprise or Athle Running licenses issued by the French Athletics Federation are accepted.

Pass Prévention Santé

Not a licensed runner? You must deposit your Pass Prévention Santé (PPS), issued by the FFA, which is mandatory for participating in running competitions in France and valid for one year.

Participants under 18 years of age

To take part in the races, you must present one of the following two documents:

Health certificate

Not a licensed runner? Minors are not required to have a Pass Prévention Santé. Before each race, they must complete a free health questionnaire, with the help of a parent. At the end of the questionnaire, a certificate valid for one race only is issued.

Deadlines for sending us your proof :

- 3rd June 2026 for individuals.

What do I do if my proof of ability have been refused?

How do I know if I am registered?

Once you have registered, you will receive an e-mail confirming your registration (please check your SPAM if necessary).

You can also view your registration at any time from your online account by clicking here.

I would like to change of race. Is this possible?

All registrations are firm and final. No change of event is possible after validation of your registration.

I can't participate. How can I get my money back?

Students, job seekers, and individuals receiving income support or solidarity allowances who are registered for the D-Day Landings Marathon, the Pegasus Half Marathon, or the 10K Crédit Agricole Normandie may be reimbursed for their registration fee (excluding options) upon presentation of recent proof of their status and valid proof of non-participation.

Refunds will be made only after the event.

How does the bibs exchange work?

The organization is reviewing its bibs exchange system bibs facilitates the purchase and resale of bibs runners via the registration platform.

I'm giving up my bib

You can give your bib a friend or family member or offer it for sale via the official exchange. In both cases, a 2€ administrative fee will be deducted from your registration refund. See the official rules for details on how to get a refund for your options.

→ Transfer to someone
Enter the email address of the recipient, who will receive an email explaining the procedure to follow and will have 48 hours to complete their registration. After this period, your bib put up for sale on the bibs exchange. The recipient will purchase the bib current price. Requests for transfer to a friend or family member will only be processed from 2nd March 2026.

For the Relay Marathon, any individual request for transfer within a team must be addressed to the organization by clicking here.

You can offer your bib sale on the official exchange. It will be visible to other runners looking for a bib. Your registration fee will only be refunded if your bib is resold to another runner.

For the Relay Marathon, registering for the event allows you to register four relay runners. As a result, you are offering all of your bibs for sale.

I'm looking for a bib

Until the event approaches, bibs are accessible to the general public. bibs are only posted bibs the official exchange when other runners initiate resale offers. If there are no offers, no bib available.

The resale of bibs the official circuit is prohibited and considered fraudulent.

What are the conditions for creating a team?

Team participation is open to groups of friends, communities, associations, companies, clubs and works councils.

There are several prerequisites for creating a team:

1 - have at least 10 participants in your team ;

2 - respect the team participation rules ;

3 - appoint a team leader to act as liaison between the organizer and team members;

4 - finalize the team before 7th May 2026.

5 - pay the registration fees before the bibs are delivered.

How do I create a team?

You can then pre-enter data online. You will then be contacted to finalize the creation of your team. More info by clicking here.

How to renew a team?

To renew your team, contact us by e-mail at equipe@marathondelaliberte.fr

How to join an existing team?

Each participant must register via their online account, entering the advantage code provided by their team manager. This code will enable them to be automatically integrated into the team.

The steps :

- Log in to your online account by clicking here ;

- On your dashboard, click on "Register for an event", then "Join a team". Enter your advantage code "XXXX" and follow the steps until your registration is finalized.

- You will then receive an e-mail confirming your registration.

How does the payment work for a team?

If you choose to pay in full, payment will be made by cheque or bank transfer on receipt of the invoice.

If you opt for individual payment, each participant will pay directly by credit card when registering.

Reminder: Payment must be made before bibs are collected or sent.

How do I find out my bib number?

You will be given a bib number shortly before the event. It will be visible as soon as it is assigned from your online account by clicking here. An email will be sent to you to inform you of this.

I would like to receive my bib at home. How can I do this?

Bib delivery of bib is available upon registration at a cost of €10.00 for participants in D-Day Landings Marathon, Pegasus Half Marathon, and 10K - Crédit Agricole Normandie excluding team participation). This option is available until 7th May 2026 deliveries within mainland France only. bibs sent at the end of May to the address indicated on your online account, provided that your registration is complete by that date.

How does bib collection work?

If you are participating in a team, please contact your team leader directly to find out how your team will collect the bibs.
If you have subscribed to the home delivery and if your file is complete, you will receive your bib at the end of May at the address you gave when you registered.
If you are registered as an individual, the following information concerns you.

Bibs be collected upon presentation of valid ID at the Marathon Expo (Parc des Expositions de Caen, rue Joseph Philippon):
FRIDAY 5TH JUNE FROM 2:00 PM TO 8:00 PM
SATURDAY 6TH JUNE FROM 10:00 AM TO 7:00 PM (UNTIL 6:00 PM FOR LA ROCHAMBELLE)

BIB COLLECTION = COMPLETE REGISTRATION + ID + BIB NUMBER

Please remember to bring your bib number with you to reduce the waiting time for collection. Find your bib number at any time from your online account, Click here.

For any bib collected by a third party, the latter must present the ID of the person for whom the pack is being collected. Otherwise, a copy of the family record book is accepted for minors.

No pins will be given out, so please bring your own.

What do I need to know about Accommodation - Accessibility - Shuttles - Parking?

Hosting

To organise your stay in Normandy, please consult our dedicated page by clicking here.

In practice, if you do not have a vehicle, we advise you to stay in Caen, where the shuttles leave and the races arrive.

The Parc des Expositions de Caen Marathon Expo, Bib collection, parking) and the Hélitas Stadium (finish line) are within walking distance of the city center.

Caen train station is 2.5 km from the exhibition centre. It is also within easy walking distance.

Shuttles

A free shuttle service is available to take you from the Exhibition Center to the starting point of your race on Sunday morning. There is no shuttle service at the finish line. This service is only available to participants in the Marathon, Half Marathon, and the first runner in the Relay Marathon.

Rotation period: 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Access to the Exhibition Center and parking
Parc des Expositions de Caen, Rue Joseph Philippon, 14000 Caen
North ring road: Exit 6 (Vallée des jardins)
South ring road: Exit 10 (Eterville)
You can then access the Exhibition Center via the Zénith de Caen roundabout. Follow the signs and head towards Louvigny. Access is also possible via the Cavée viaduct.

The Exhibition Center parking lots are reserved exclusively for participants, visitors, and spectators of D-Day Landings Marathon from 4th to 7th June 2026 free car and bicycle parking). View the site map by clicking here.

Is there a camper van park?

A motorhome parking area is available near the Caen Memorial, located 4 km from Parc des Expositions de Caen. For more information, click here.

How do the start corrals work?

Start corrals set up to ensure that the start of the events runs as smoothly as possible.

On race day, position yourself in the corral corresponding to your expected time. These are freely accessible at the start of the events.

How does the timing system work at the Relay Marathon

Timing is carried out using a disposable electronic timing system glued to the team bib , which must be attached to the belt provided. This belt, together with the team bib , must be handed over between each runner. The order of the runners indicated at registration is not important and does not necessarily correspond to the order of the relays. The timing mats will be located at the entrance or exit of the relay zones. Each runner must be belted onto the relevant timing belt for the team's performance to be recorded.

How do the race awards ceremonies work?

The race award ceremonies will take place near the finish line at Stade Hélitas in Caen on Sunday 7th June.

- For the 10K Crédit Agricole Normandie and the Pegasus Half Marathon, only the top three male and female runners (overall) will be on the podium.

- For the D-Day Landings Marathon, the first three male and female runners (overall and regional) will be called.

- For the Relay Marathon, only the top three teams in each category (mixed, men, women) will be called.

Provisional schedule for race awards ceremonies :

- 10:30 a.m.: 10K Crédit Agricole Normandie

- 11:45am: Pegasus Half Marathon

- 1:30 p.m.: D-Day Landings Marathon

- 1:45 p.m.: Relay Marathon

The first male and female riders in each category will receive their awards in the weeks following the event.
