4 out of 6 events now sold out
Created in 1988 as a sporting tribute to the events of the D-Day, D-Day Landings Marathon is preparing for another historic edition as part of the festivities for the Caen's millennium celebrations. With over 30,000 participants each year, the event's race courses are a perfect illustration of this tribute to history through sport, making D-Day Landings Marathon a formidable showcase for Normandy.
The Relay Marathon, to be held on Sunday June 15, 2025, is also fully booked. The ultimate distance in teams of 4 attracts 250 teams. The first relay runners will set off from Courseulles-sur-Mer, the starting point for the Marathon. During this event, the personal challenge is combined with the discovery of the high points of the D-Day Landings and the Battle of Normandy in Normandy for the relay runners (Juno and Sword Beaches, Ouistreham Casino, Pegasus Bridge, etc.), making this intense moment of sport a real tribute to History.
D-Day Landings Marathon and la Rochambelle are now the only events that can welcome new runners, with a limit of 5,000 participants for the main distance and 10,000 participants for the women's and solidarity event.
