the leading event

Now in its 38th year, the D-Day Landings Marathon is the world's premier event over the legendary 42.195 km distance. Often referred to as the Marathon des Plages du Débarquement, the D-Day Landings Marathon , with its national FFA label, boasts one of the most beautiful courses in France. Proof of its international renown, the event is now one of the qualifying marathons for the Abbott World Marathon Majors age-group rankings.

During this race, the personal endeavour is coupled with the discovery of the high places of the D-Day Landings and the Battle of Normandy (Juno and Sword beaches, Ouistreham Casino, Pegasus Bridge, etc.), making this intense moment of sport a real tribute to History.

After a sold-out 2025 edition, the D-Day Landings Marathon looks forward to seeing you from June 4 to 7, 2026 for a sporting and popular experience in tribute to the D-Day.

Registration opens in November 2025: get ready for an unforgettable weekend!

In order to move towards a more reasoned management and a reduction of plastic, a double water supply system will be tested this year for the first time. You'll be able to refuel using water bottles, or fill your own containers (hydration bags, flasks, etc.) at the various refreshment points. The aim is to encourage and measure runners' autonomy, so as to develop and generalize self-supply systems in the future.
