Created in 1988 to pay tribute through sport to the events of D-Day, D-Day Landings Marathon is gearing up for a historic 2024 edition as part of the festivities for the 80th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy. With over 25,000 participants each year, the event's race courses are a perfect illustration of this tribute to history through sport, making D-Day Landings Marathon a wonderful showcase for Normandy.
4 months before this sporting and popular weekend, the organizing team announces the closing of registrations for the Pegasus Half Marathon, the second event to be fully booked, just a few days after la Rochambelle, the women's and solidarity event.
An event with the national FFA label, it is one of Normandy's flagship events and ranks among the great French running events. The event has become mythical thanks to the famous bridge from which it starts, the first bridge liberated by the British soldiers of the 6th Airborne. With its extremely pleasant course, impressive density and ideal timing, the Pegasus Half Marathon is a must for running aficionados.
