The D-Day Landings Marathon, Normandy Running Festival was created in 1988 to pay tribute to the events of the D-Day through sport, and running in particular. This tribute is reflected, among other things, in the race courses, which take in the key sites of the D-Day landings and the Battle of Normandy (Juno and Sword beaches, Ouistreham casino, Pegasus Bridge, etc.).
With over 30,000 participants each year, the event has become one of France's top 3 running events, attracting an ever-increasing number of enthusiasts with a historical DNA rooted in two universal notions: peace and freedom. The event's race courses fully illustrate this tribute to history through sport, making the D-Day Landings Marathon a formidable showcase for Normandy.
After a sold-out 2025 edition, the D-Day Landings Marathon looks forward to an unforgettable new experience from June 4 to 7, 2026!
