volunteering

Organized under the French law of 1901, the D-Day Landings Marathon relies on a solid core of volunteers who work year-round to prepare each edition. The event could not exist without their commitment, which contributes both to the development of sporting activities and to the influence of the Normandy region.

On D-Day, more than 1,600 volunteers are actively involved in making the event a success. Their missions are numerous and all essential to guarantee the welcome and safety of participants: services for runners, logistics, starts and finishes, entertainment, refreshments, etc.

Volunteer commitment is expressed through strong values: conviviality, team spirit, respect and sharing, which make each edition a real collective adventure, both human and sporting.

Join the team! Volunteer registrations for the 39ᵉ D-Day Landings Marathon will open in January 2026.
