Women's cancers: it affects us all

With nearly 58,000 new cases each year, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in France. While it has the highest incidence rate, it is also one of the cancers that is most effectively treated.

At the same time, gynecological cancers are on the rise. Approximately 16,000 tumors of the female reproductive system are diagnosed each year, primarily in the endometrium, cervix, and ovaries.

A tribute to the Rochambelles

A Living Legacy

The event pays tribute to the “Rochambelles,” the female ambulance drivers of General Leclerc’s 2nd Armored Division during World War II. Deployed during the Normandy landings and the Liberation of France in 1944, they ensured the evacuation of the wounded to medical centers. Hailing from the “Rochambeau Ambulance Corps” founded by Florence Conrad, they were quickly nicknamed the “Rochambelles” within the 2nd Armored Division.

To mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day, La Rochambelle sponsored by Raymonde Jeanmougin, a former medic with the unit. She was 21 years old when she landed at Utah Beach in August 1944 alongside her comrades.
