Often referred to as the D-Day Beaches Marathon, the D-Day Landings Marathon bronze status D-Day Landings Marathon the French Athletics Federation (FFA), boasts one of the most beautiful routes in France.

Proof of its international renown, the event is now one of the qualifying marathons for the Abbott World Marathon Majors world ranking ins age categories.

Registration fees

From 05/11/2025 to 31/01/2026: 62€ (-4€ for FFA licensees)
From 01/02/2026 to 31/03/2026: 69€ (-4€ for FFA licensees)
From 01/04/2026 to 03/06/2026: 80€ (-4€ for FFA licensees)
Students, jobseekers and people receiving RSA or ASS benefit from the opening rate of 62€ all year round. To benefit, simply enter the advantage code dedicated to the event selection stage: ETUDIANT2026 (students) and COURIR2026. Proof of status will be requested at registration.

Personalisation of bibs

Each participant is unique. Register before 7th May 2026 receive a bib on race day (first name/nickname, team name).

Home bib delivery
Home bib delivery by tracked mail is offered at a rate of €10. This option is available until 7th May 2026 for shipments within mainland France only. Bibs will be sent at the end of May to the address provided in your online account, subject to a complete registration (valid proof of fitness). 

Bib Exchange

The organization is reviewing its bibs exchange system bibs facilitates the purchase and resale of bibs runners via the registration platform.

I'm giving up my bib

You can give your bib a friend or family member or offer it for sale via the official exchange. In both cases, a 2€ administrative fee will be deducted from your registration refund. See the official rules for details on how to get a refund for your options.

Enter the email address of the recipient, who will receive an email explaining the procedure to follow and will have 48 hours to complete their registration. After this period, your bib put up for sale on the bibs exchange. The recipient will purchase the bib current price. Requests for transfer to a friend or family member will only be processed from 2nd March 2026.

You can offer your bib sale on the official exchange. It will be visible to other runners looking for a bib. Your registration fee will only be refunded if your bib is resold to another runner.

I'm looking for a bib

Until the event approaches, bibs are accessible to the general public. bibs are only posted bibs the official exchange when other runners initiate resale offers. If there are no offers, no bib available.

The resale of bibs the official circuit is prohibited and considered fraudulent.

Time limits

The D-Day Landings Marathon limited to 5 hours and 30 minutes with time limits imposed at:

- 10th km in less than 1h20 ;

- 15th km in less than 2h00 ;

- 20th km in less than 2h40 ;

- 25th km in under 3h18 ;

- 30th km in less than 3h56 ;

- 35th km in under 4h35.

proof of fitness

In France, the the French Athletics Federation (FFA) regulates the conditions for participation in running events. In accordance with the regulations for running events any participation in a competition is subject to the presentation of proof of fitness.

To take part in the races, you must present one of the following two documents:

French Athletics Federation License

Only Athle Competition, Athle Entreprise or Athle Running licenses issued by the French Athletics Federation are accepted.

Pass Prévention Santé

Not a licensed runner? You must deposit your Pass Prévention Santé (PPS), issued by the FFA, which is mandatory for participating in running competitions in France and valid for one year.

Deadlines for sending us your proof :

- 7th May 2026 for team registrations and individuals who have subscribed to home delivery bib

- 3rd June 2026 for individuals.

Preferential bib (sub-elite bib)

Bib collection

If you are participating in a team, please contact your team leader directly to find out how to collect your bib.
If you have subscribed to the home delivery and if your registration is complete, you will receive your bib at the end of May at the address indicated at the time of your registration.
If you are registered as an individual, the following information concerns you.

Don't forget to bring your bib number with you to reduce the waiting time when you collect your bib. Find your bib number in your online account by clicking here.

For any bib collected by a third party, the latter must present the ID of the person for whom the bib is being collected.

No pins will be given out, so please bring your own.

A free shuttle service is available in partnership with Keolis to take you to the start of the event.

Rotation period: from 6:00 am to 7:30 am.

Pacers and start corrals

Pacers

Pacemakers will help you reach your goals in 3:00, 3:15, 3:30, 3:45, 4:00, 4:15 and 4:30.

Start corrals

Start corrals set up to ensure a smooth start. On race day, position yourself in the corral corresponding to your time: elite runners and preferential bibs, 3:00, 3:15, 3:30, 3:45, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30, and over. These are freely accessible at the start of the race.

Changing rooms and showers

A cloakroom truck will be present at the start site in Courseulles-sur-Mer to collect your belongings and bring them back to the finish site.

Refreshments stations

On the course

Refreshment stations will be located every 5 km (25 cl water bottles + self-service, bananas, oranges, sugar cubes, dried apricots, and saltine crackers starting at the 21st km, provided by U stores in Calvados).

You'll be able to refuel with water bottles or fill your own containers (hydration pack, flask, etc.) at the refreshment point.
The aim is to encourage runners' autonomy and to continue developing self-supply devices.

On arrival

You will also be offered a full refueling service upon arrival by the U stores in Calvados, as well as a buffet Saveurs de Normandie buffet where you can sample local specialties.

Live tracking

It will be possible to follow the riders thanks to Breizh Chronothe event's official timekeeper.

Available on the app and on the web, Live Inside by Breizh Chrono offers :

- Live, point-by-point tracking for every rider.

- Quick access to the race leader at every check-in.

- A prediction of each runner's passage to the next timing point

Supporters itineraries

Numerous bands will be playing along the route of the various events. Supporter itineraries are also available, so that your loved ones can easily follow you on D-Day. To find out more, click here.

Reminder: for reasons of safety and fairness, the presence of accompanying persons on bicycles or using any other means of transport is strictly forbidden. Any rider failing to comply with this rule will be disqualified.

Finish Area

Cross the finish line in the heart of downtown Caen. Your friends and family will be able to follow and support you from dedicated fan zones.

Awards

Two options included in registration fee | Collector's medal and finisher's T-shirt

Bonus: if a participant chooses not to receive rewards, his or her gesture will be rewarded by a donation to the fight against cancer by supporting the partner organizations of la Rochambelle, the event's women's and solidarity event.

Recovery area

Physiotherapists and chiropodists will welcome you in the recovery area (runners zone) to provide you with recovery treatments and massages.

Race Award ceremony

The race award ceremony will take place near the finish line at the Hélitas stadium in Caen, on Sunday 7th June at 1.30pm (provisional time).

Only the first 3 men and women runners (scratch and regional) will be called to the podium for the awards ceremony.

The first male and female riders in each category will receive their awards in the weeks following the event.
